Saturday we went to see Tracy Lawrence at the Block with some friends. It was a lot of fun. He sang great in person and sounded just like he did on the radio. Woohoo for a night out! (Sadly, I didn't get any actual pictures of him)

All I Can Think About...

James and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 22nd. Wow. Still can't believe it's been 5 years since we said "I Do". Dad and Kim were in town for the weekend, so they watched C for us.
We:
Went and ate a yummy dinner at Bonefish. (Bang Bang Shrimp!)
Went to the club with our friends Shawn and Chelsea and saw Chris Young in concert.
I:
Got his autograph

and even got to hug him
He was so sweet.

It's been a while

Sorry that it has been so long since I've blogged. 2009 was quite a year. Maybe not in the best way either, but regardless, we grew from everything we learned!

Just to recap:
April 21, 2009 - James leaves for Army Basic Training in SC
April 25, 2009 - I get a call that he is in the hospital for what seems to be severe dehydration
April 27, 2009 - Mr. Dave and I drive to SC because it looks to be more than just dehydration. We spend 7 days in the CCU in SC with him.
May 5, 2009 - We bring James home for a 17 day leave.
May 22, 2009 - I drive him back to SC to restart BCT. He is put on a medical profile and not authorized to return to full duty yet.
July 4, 2009 -James' sister, Chrissy is in town from Japan and we drive up to SC to see James in the hospital again. He is diagnosed with Adrenal Insufficiency (his adrenal glands can't produce adequate sodium) and Type 1 Diabetes. He is insulin dependent and must take two types of steroids 3 times a day for the rest of his life.
Sept 7, 2009 - James gets 10 days of leave!!
Oct 5, 2009 - James is discharged. :(
Oct 25, 2009 - My baby girl turns 3!

So those were the major events of 2009. James' health took top priority for us. We are just thankful to have him home (and alive) because so many doctors let us know how lucky he was to 1)be alive and 2)not have brain damage or be in a coma.

We are excited what 2010 has to offer us as a family. January 22nd we will celebrate 5 years of marriage! Man how times flies...

Daddy's Big News

Friday March 6th was a big day for James...it was the day he swore into the US Army! After many years and much prayer it seems like we might finally be on the right path. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will leave for Basic Training and "Tech School" on April 21st in Columbia, South Carolina. We are so excited about embarking on this new adventure together as a family!
